Marketing
From time to time we may wish to send you direct marketing material, which may include product offers and newsletters. Existing patients can opt out of this by unsubscribing from any email mailing lists. New clients will be asked how they would like to be contacted when attending for their first appointment. This policy does not include relevant emails/SMS relating to your appointments or ongoing care, as these are part of our business systems.

Data Retention
J E T Podiatry retains your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services and as described in our Privacy Policy. However, we may also be required to retain this information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. The retention of podiatry records is normally for a minimum of 8 years after the last appointment. For customers who are not patients but may have bought products from the business, we will keep any data you may have provided for a minimum of 6 years in line with tax legislation.
Transfers of Personal Information Outside the UK
J E T Podiatry may store and process your information through third-party hosting services outside of the UK. As a result, we may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If we are deemed to transfer information about you outside of the UK, we rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as all of our 3 rd party software
services are Privacy Shield certified and comply with UK GDPR.
