Trust me when I say – as podiatrists, we’ve seen it before. I appreciate for some people, it may feel awkward or embarrassing to discuss let alone show your feet to a medical professional. Remember we are here to help you.
Being well-prepared (if you have any medication please bring a list) for your appointment will help ensure that we have all the information required to allow me to provide you with achieving the best outcome and results possible for yourself.
So what to expect on your Initial Consultation:
On attending your appointment at the Remedi Clinic your Initial Consultation will involve taking your medical history, completing vascular, neurological and dermatology assessments of your feet (I promise nothing painful just some cold gel). We will then talk about what brought you to come and see us, we will then diagnose any conditions you may have and provide you with guidance and advice, as well as discuss with an unbiased option of treatment(s) with you in order to manage your foot complaint. Where appropriate, provide you with a thorough chiropody treatment addressing your skin and/or nail issues, before applying some lovely foot cream.
Typical treatments that we provide as part of a routine chiropody appointment include:
At the end of your initial consultation, (if required) we will send a letter to your GP advising them of the treatment and advice you have received and the plan for managing your foot health. We may also recommend a follow up appointment, especially if you require ongoing foot care or your condition requires a course of treatment.
We are fully qualified and registered Podiatrists with the Royal College of Podiatry and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) ensuring the highest standards set for the profession.
